Are your crystals real?
Yes, they are natural minerals unless the listing says otherwise. Some popular materials are treated: aura quartz is coated, much citrine is heat-treated amethyst, and agate, howlite and onyx are often dyed. Our stone pages point this out.
Which crystal should a beginner start with?

How do I cleanse a crystal?
People use moonlight, sound, smoke or a selenite plate. Avoid water for soft stones like selenite. Read how to cleanse crystals.
Which crystals can go in water?
Hard quartz-family stones are fine for a rinse. Selenite, malachite, lepidolite, calcite, pyrite and other soft or metallic stones should stay dry. See the hardness chart.
